Shock-wave deformation of the railway - contr. with the Russian Railways Comp.


The forecast mathematical model of ballast section behavior was developed within the joint project with JSC Russian Railways (2008-2010). This model predicts the subgrade reaction to dynamic impacts created by high-speed train motion.

Using an innovative model of subgrade reaction and modern FEM programs, the performance of multilayer construction was studied in the process of high-speed train SAPSAN motion. It was explored for different train velocities and the ballast section materials.
